Group Financial Controller

Group Financial Controller Liskeard – £50,000 – £60,000 FTE – Part time – Permanent

If you're an experienced group accountant looking for a senior role that offers genuine flexibility and the opportunity to influence business growth at board level, this is a rare and genuinely exciting opportunity. I'm working with a well-established international business based near Dobwalls with entities across Europe and Asia, that is looking for a technically strong Group Financial Controller to take ownership of group reporting, consolidated accounts, audit management and financial oversight across the group.

This is a newly created position reporting directly to the Board, encompassing:

- Preparation of monthly UK management accounts and consolidated group reporting across multiple entities, including multi-currency reporting.

- Producing and maintaining group cash flow forecasts and monitoring banking arrangements, finance costs and foreign exchange exposure.

- Managing UK and international audit processes and overseeing intercompany accounting, recharges and associated compliance requirements.

- Supporting the introduction of departmental budgets and cost centres, monitoring actual expenditure against forecasts and undertaking cost analysis to provide greater visibility of group expenditure and cost drivers.

- Acting as senior lead for the group accounts team, with line management responsibility for the UK Accounts Assistant, and driving improvements to accounting systems, reporting, controls and processes across the group.

The ideal candidate will be a professionally qualified accountant with solid experience working within a multi-company group environment. Experience of consolidated accounts, multi-currency reporting, intercompany accounting and audit management is essential. Proficiency with SAP and Sage is strongly preferred, alongside the ability to communicate confidently with board level stakeholders and a proactive approach to process improvement.
