Trial Balance are delighted to be working with a growing accountancy practice in Gloucester, looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior to join its friendly and knowledgeable team. This opportunity would suit an accountancy practice accountant looking to broaden their experience across accounts preparation, tax compliance and bookkeeping, while benefiting from the guidance and support of experienced colleagues.

As Accounts Semi Senior, your responsibilities will include:

-Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders

-Assisting with corporation tax computations and personal tax returns

-Preparing VAT returns and undertaking bookkeeping assignments

-Liaising with clients to gather financial information and resolve day-to-day accounting queries

-Working alongside senior colleagues to ensure accounts and tax assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

-Developing your technical knowledge through hands-on experience and ongoing professional development

The successful Accounts Semi Senior will:

Have previous experience within an accountancy practice and a good grounding in accounts preparation for a variety of clients.

You'll ideally hold an AAT qualification or be working towards ACA or ACCA, although candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and an organised approach to managing your workload will be important, alongside a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
