A respected and growing accountancy practice in Wellington is seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to become part of its friendly and professional team. Working with a broad range of owner-managed businesses, you'll enjoy a varied workload and the opportunity to play an active role in supporting clients across their accounting and tax requirements.

As an Accounts Semi Senior, your duties will include:

- Producing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

- Assisting with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns

- Preparing VAT returns and undertaking bookkeeping work when required

- Liaising directly with clients to gather information and answer routine accounting queries

- Building and maintaining positive client relationships

- Supporting senior team members with a varied portfolio of assignments

To be successful in this Accounts Semi Senior role you'll have:

 Previous experience working within an accountancy practice and a good understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance work.

AAT qualifications would be advantageous, although candidates who have developed their skills through practical experience are also encouraged to apply.

The ideal Accounts Semi Senior will be organised, dependable and capable of managing multiple priorities. Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude will be equally important, as you'll be working closely with both clients and colleagues on a daily basis.
