Trial Balance are working with an established accountancy practice in Dorchester in their search for an experienced Senior Accountant. The practice is seeking a Senior Accountant who can support a varied client portfolio, whilst contributing to the on-going success of the business.

As a Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include:

- Managing a portfolio of clients and supporting their ongoing accounting, taxation and business reporting requirements

- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

- Assisting with corporation tax, personal tax and VAT compliance work

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact

- Responding to client queries and providing practical accounting and taxation support

- Working closely with Managers and Partners to ensure deadlines and client expectations are consistently achieved

- Identifying opportunities to add value to client relationships and support the continued growth of the practice

The successful Senior Accountant will have:

Previous experience gained within an accountancy practice environment and be confident managing a varied portfolio of clients.

ACA or ACCA qualifications would be advantageous, but applications are equally welcomed from qualified-by-experience candidates with strong technical knowledge and a proven background in practice.

As a Senior Accountant, you'll be organised, pro-active and capable of building excellent working relationships with both clients and colleagues. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a collaborative approach will be key to your success.
