Accounts Technician - Bridport - £28,000 - £35,000

A successful and well-respected accountancy practice in Bridport, is looking to recruit an Accounts Technician to join its team. This is a varied position covering accounts preparation, taxation and bookkeeping, offering the chance to work with a diverse client portfolio and develop your experience across a broad range of accounting assignments.

As Accounts Technician, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

- Preparing personal and corporate tax calculations and returns

- Completing VAT returns and undertaking bookkeeping assignments

- Maintaining accurate accounting records and ensuring client information is up to date

- Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve day-to-day accounting queries

- Supporting the wider team with additional accounting and taxation work as required

The successful Accounts Technician will:

Have previous experience gained within an accountancy practice, with a good grounding across accounts preparation, bookkeeping and tax compliance.

Be AAT qualified or studying towards further professional qualifications, although candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. You'll be organised, methodical and confident communicating with clients and colleagues.
