Senior Accountant - Crediton - £35,000 - £45,000

Trial Balance are delighted to be working with an accountancy practice in Crediton, looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join its team. This is a varied position offering responsibility across accounts and taxation, regular interaction with clients and the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a high-quality practice service.

As Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

- Taking responsibility for a portfolio of clients and overseeing their on-going accounting and compliance requirements

- Producing statutory accounts and financial statements

- Preparing tax calculations and returns

- Assisting with management reporting, VAT and other accounting assignments as required

- Building productive client relationships and providing clear, practical support on accounting matters

- Investigating queries and resolving issues to keep assignments moving efficiently

- Sharing technical knowledge and offering guidance to less experienced members of the team where appropriate

The successful Senior Accountant will:

Have solid experience within an accountancy practice, with the technical ability to manage a broad range of accounts and tax work.

ACA or ACCA qualification would be ideal, although candidates with relevant practice experience who are part-qualified or qualified by experience may also be considered. You'll be commercially aware, well organised and confident communicating with clients, with the ability to take ownership of assignments and manage competing priorities effectively.
