Trial Balance are delighted to be working with an accountancy practice in Bideford, looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior to join the team. The position is primarily focused on accounts preparation and taxation, with additional exposure to audit work alongside experienced colleagues. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to broaden their experience across different areas of accountancy practice.

As Accounts Semi Senior, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting in the preparation year-end accounts and financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

- Assisting with personal and corporate tax 

- Completing VAT returns and supporting clients with their on-going tax compliance

- Bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records

- Supporting an Audit Senior with audit assignments, including attending client site visits and assisting with fieldwork

- Working alongside experienced colleagues to ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

- Continuing to develop your technical knowledge across accounts, taxation and audit

The successful Accounts Semi Senior will:

Have previous experience gained within an accountancy practice, with a good grounding in accounts preparation and tax compliance. Previous audit experience would be highly advantageous although not essential.

AAT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience candidates will be considered and you'll be organised, detail-focused and confident communicating with clients and colleagues.
