Trial Balance are delighted to be working with an accountancy practice in Bovey Tracey, looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, taking ownership of accounting assignments and contributing to the success of a wider team.

As Accounts Senior, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts and financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders

- Preparing personal and corporate tax returns

- Completing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments where required

- Providing practical accounting and taxation support, responding to queries and building strong client relationships

- Reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues with technical guidance and support

- Working closely with Managers and Partners to ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

- Identifying opportunities to improve processes

The successful Accounts Senior will:

Have previous experience gained within an accountancy practice, with a strong grounding in accounts preparation and tax compliance.

ACA or ACCA qualification would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from part-qualified accountants and candidates who are qualified by experience. You'll be confident managing a varied workload, communicating directly with clients and maintaining high standards of accuracy and service.

Strong organisational skills, a pro-active attitude and the ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a team will also be important.
