Accounts Assistant - Glastonbury - Circa: £26,000
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been engaged by a new client, a long established specialist manufacturing business with an impressive history of growth. The company now seeks to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant, a role that is likely to develop quickly within the finance function. This is a full time, permanent opportunity to be based at the company’s headquarters in Glastonbury.
This will be a broad and varied opportunity where the successful candidate will play a key role within a small but efficient finance function, and with a focus on manufacturing accounting processes including product costings. Working closely with an experienced Head of Finance, the Accounts Assistant will play a pivotal role in the following areas:
- Analysis and preparation of cost accounts relating to new and future products
- Production of high quality costing data for senior management and sales teams
- Price margin analysis
- KPI analysis
- Maintenance of accounting system (Sage), and the raw materials database
- Provide support to the wider finance function to include accounts payable/receivable, aged debtor management and payroll
For this role we seek a candidate with a minimum of two years of recently gained experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment or with an element of costing control. Candidate’s may be part or fully AAT, or consider themselves to be qualified through vocational experience. Applicants should be highly numerate with great attention to details, and be quick to learn and develop new skills. The business is technology driven so sound IT skills also essential with previous experience using MS Excel highly beneficial.
