Finance Officer

Finance Officer - Highbridge - £27 - 30,000

Trial Balance Consulting have been eassigned by a new client, a highly successful service provider, to recruit a Finance Officer to join the organisation.  The role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis to be located at the company’s offices in Highbridge. There is also potential for a hybrid working arrangement once the successful candidate is up to speed. 

This is a pivotal role within the finance team and has been created to improve the overall operations of the accounting function. Key responsibilities to include: 

- Maintenance of bespoke accounting system

- Income and expenditure processing 

- Credit control

- Preparing and processing of VAT reports and returns

- Managing the accounts receivable function

- Bank reconciliations

- Cash management  

For this role we seek an experienced, organised and communicative Assistant Accountant or Bookkeeper who is either part/fully AAT or qualified through vocational experience. Previous credit control experience would be advantageous, but not a pre-requisite for application although good all-round IT aptitude, particularly MS Excel, is essential.
