Part Time Bookkeeper – Falmouth / Hybrid - Circa: £30,000 FTE
Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively engaged by a very busy and well-established Falmouth based hospitality business who urgently seek to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join them on a part time basis. This is a permanent position that works over a flexible three day week with patterns to suit the successful candidate. There is some potential for some hybrid remote working to suit both sides. Our client will provide all required IT equipment. Please note that all remote applicants must reside within commutable distance of Falmouth.
This is an important and varied role that will see the successful Bookkeeper reporting to and working closely with the company’s senior management team, leading the financial controls of the business using QuickBooks and MS Excel. Key responsibilities to include:
- Producing monthly and quarterly management reports to include management accounts, P&L and balance sheet reports
- Day-to-day bookkeeping
- Variance analysis
- Maintenance of accounts payable and receivable
- Production of budgets
- Bank reconciliations
- Timesheet management for onward submission to external payroll providers
- Payment of employers PAYE obligations, VAT and corporation tax liability
- Assist directors with costing for projects and events
We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with full-cycle-accounting experience and a good knowledge of modern accounting procedures. This is an involved position that will require strong organisational skills, as well as good communication skills as the role will regularly liaise with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
