Finance Officer - Nr Newquay / Remote - £20-25,000
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively assigned by a high profile, community focussed Cornish Charity. We have worked with the organisation on several occasions and their team are extremely friendly, professional and passionate about the work of the charity.
They currently seek to recruit an experienced Finance Officer to join their team. The role is offered on either a full time or part time, permanent basis and with some remote working available upon completion of training. Working hours for part time applicants TBC.
The role will ordinarily be based from the charity’s HQ located on the outskirts of Newquay (own transport essential). The role works closely with the Finance Manager and covers a broad scope of responsibilities including:
- Management of the accounts receivable function which is made up from multiple income streams
- Administration of the accounts payable function
- Bank reconciliations
- Petty cash management
- Administering staff expenses
- Assisting in month end procedures and preparing financial reports
- General accounts administration using Sage Line 50
Our client is prioritising experience over qualification and we therefore welcome applications from candidates that are qualified by experience or part/fully AAT qualified. The role requires a candidate with strong IT experience in the use of Sage based platforms and MS Excel where large volumes of data will be manipulated. The role works within a busy function and the successful candidate will liaise with many internal and external stakeholders so good communication and team working skills a prerequisite!
