Assistant Accountant - Plymouth - £22-25,000

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a Plymouth based business that Trial Balance Consulting know very well. Why? Because just over two years ago we sourced their Finance Manager and that is exactly who this role reports into! The company are long standing specialists in technical manufacturing for a truly global client base which includes some extremely recognisable household brands. They’re a largely pandemic proof company so business stability has not been a concern during 2020 and they continue to grow at a strong pace. Their HQ is based in the Estover area and all staff are offered free onsite parking facilities. 

They’ve tasked us with sourcing an experienced Assistant Accountant who will act as the right-hand assistant to their Group Finance Manager. This is a varied role where the successful candidate will oversee the bank reconciliations, company ledgers, expenses processing and the compilation of regular finance reports. The role will also assist with monthly and annual budgeting, and internal payroll. 

We’re looking for a candidate who will either be qualified by experience or fully AAT qualified. The business uses a SAGE based accounting platform so good experience in this area, including other MS Office applications would be a distinct advantage. As well as working closed with the group FM, the role will be quite autonomous at times so good organisational skills and a solid understanding of a manufacturing finance lifecycle are essential.
