Part Time Finance Assistant - Yeovil - £18-20,000 FTE
If you’re an Accounts Assistant with at least 12 months of recent experience gained within a finance department and looking to progress your accountancy career with a well-structured and supportive team, this could be an excellent opportunity for you. Trial Balance Consulting have been assigned by a leading services business who, due to an internal restructure, seek to recruit a part time Finance Assistant to join their team in Yeovil. The role is currently planned to work over three days per week; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but with some flexibility and potentially a full-time option if it suits the successful candidate.
This opportunity works with one of the Southwest’s longest standing and successful services businesses, operating over 6 offices and with clients throughout the Westcountry and greater London. They are a modern business who invest heavily in technology and operate with a forward thing ethos.
The Finance Assistant will work within a team of six with key responsibilities to include: posting and coding purchase ledger invoices, electronic and credit card payments, bank and petty cash reconciliations and general accounts administration. The company uses a bespoke accounting platform where full training will be provided but strong IT aptitude essential.
We’re looking for a forward-thinking candidate with an ability to find and solve problems, a great team worker with excellent communications skills. The role would be well suited to either a candidate in the early stages of their accounting career who seeks to progress, or an experienced individual seeking the flexibility of part time working hours. The company fully supports AAT studies where applicable.
