FP&A Manager - Indian Queens - Competitive salary DOE + Hybrid working

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to be supporting a long-standing client with the recruitment of a brand-new FP&A Manager. As the business continues to expand, they are hoping to source an ambitious finance professional who can provide the commercial insight needed to support the next stage of their journey.

This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain the status quo. They're looking for someone who can take ownership, introduce new ideas, improve processes and build an FP&A function that adds genuine value across the business.

Working closely with the Group Accountant, you'll develop strong relationships with colleagues in production, supply chain and tendering, providing the costing, pricing and commercial analysis that helps drive informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities will include:

-Leading the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process

-Delivering meaningful costing and pricing analysis to support commercial decision-making

-Partnering with production, supply chain and tendering teams to improve profitability and operational performance

- Developing financial models, reports and KPIs that provide clear business insight

- Analysing manufacturing costs, margins and operational performance, making recommendations to drive efficiencies

- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and financial controls across the business

- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, providing constructive challenge and commercial support

- Playing a key role in shaping this newly created position and establishing an FP&A function that adds genuine value to the wider business

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys operating with a high degree of autonomy. You'll be equally comfortable producing insightful analysis as you are challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities and influencing stakeholders across the business.

Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is essential, particularly around costing, pricing and operational analysis. Applicants will ideally be CIMA qualified (or equivalent), although we'll happily consider candidates with an ACA or ACCA background who can demonstrate the right commercial experience. Above all, the business is looking for someone with ambition, personality and the drive to make a genuine impact.

In return, you'll have the opportunity to shape a newly created role, influence the direction of the finance function and build trusted relationships with key decision-makers across a growing organisation. The position can be based in Cornwall, Coventry or Barnsley with travel between sites as required.
