Management Accountant - Exeter (outskirts with parking) - £40,000 - £45,000

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively retained by a long-standing and highly valued client, a fast-growing and successful business based on the outskirts of Exeter, to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent and full-time basis. Due to continued growth and an increasing workload within the finance team, our client is keen to secure the right person as soon as possible and particularly welcomes applications from candidates available immediately or on short notice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to take the next step in their accounting career. Working closely with an experienced Financial Controller and senior leadership team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of a busy finance function. Alongside gaining exposure to a broad range of management accounting, reporting and commercial finance responsibilities.

The role offers genuine scope for development and would particularly suit an individual who is currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA. On-going study support will be provided, alongside the opportunity to progress within a business that continues to grow and evolve at pace.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of monthly management accounts

- Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments

- Budgeting and forecasting support

- Cashflow monitoring and analysis

- Statutory returns and year-end assistance

- Credit control oversight and supplier payments

- Financial reporting, analysis and process improvement projects

- Business partnering with operational teams and stakeholders

Applicants should possess previous experience in a finance role with exposure to management accounting duties, strong Excel skills and a pro-active, solutions-focused approach. Candidates who are AAT qualified or actively studying towards a professional accountancy qualification are particularly encouraged to apply.
