My client is a very well-respected firm with several offices in the local area and has experienced impressive growth in recent years. Increased demand on the audit side has resulted in this exciting new role based in Truro.

You will be working with a very impressive team of professionals and taking a lead role on the planning and execution of audits for a broad reaching portfolio of clients including many of the region's largest corporations, charities and not for profit organisations.

Your specific duties will include:

• Managing the audit teams, ensuring assignments are staffed appropriately
• Working closely with the client engagement Partner to co-ordinate both compliance and specialist services
• Acting as the main point of contact for all client matters
• Assisting with the coaching and development of audit staff
• Identifying and raising business development opportunities with new and existing clients
• Supporting complex and often fast-moving projects
• Supporting group restructuring exercises, including client/ HMRC liaison, accounting entries and company secretarial work
• Liaising with consultants and technical Partners across the firm’s specialist services

And the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

• ACA/ ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Post-qualification experience in audit and a good working knowledge of compliance, regulation and bespoke audit and accounts software
• Experience of working with charities and not-for-profit clients desirable (but not essential)
• Corporate tax awareness
• Previous experience of managing and developing people
