Trial Balance are working with a respected firm, which is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to become an important part of its team. Offering a broad mix of accounts and bookkeeping responsibilities, this role would suit someone who is looking for a long-term position within a professional and collaborative environment.

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting a varied client base and helping to deliver a high-quality service across a range of accounting and taxation matters.

Key duties as Accounts Assistant will include:

- Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients

- Completing bookkeeping assignments and VAT returns

- Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting queries and requests

- Working alongside senior team members to ensure the delivery of an excellent client experience

About you

The successful Accounts Assistant will have experience gained within an accounting or finance-based role and be comfortable working across a range of accounting responsibilities.

Previous experience working within an accountancy practice would be advantageous, but is not essential. This opportunity could therefore suit someone already working in practice or an individual looking to make the transition from a broader finance or industry-based role.

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be organised, detail-focused and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication skills, a proactive approach and a commitment to delivering excellent service will be key to your success in the role.
