This accountancy practice in Cheltenham, known for its strong client relationships and professional approach, is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Technician to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practice accountant looking for a broad role, regular client contact and the chance to build on their existing technical skills.

As Accounts Technician, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

- Assisting with personal and corporate tax returns

- Completing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments

- Maintaining accurate accounting records across a varied client portfolio

- Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve day-to-day queries

- Supporting senior colleagues with a range of accounting and taxation assignments

- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

The successful Accounts Technician will:

Have previous experience gained within an accountancy practice and be confident working across accounts preparation, bookkeeping and VAT.

AAT qualification would be advantageous, although candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. You'll be organised, accurate and comfortable managing your own workload, with strong communication skills and a professional approach to client service.
