A highly regarded accountancy practice near Newquay, which Trial Balance knows well, is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a broad and client-focused position offering genuine responsibility, exposure to advisory work and the potential to progress towards a future partnership role.

As Senior Practice Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing a varied portfolio of clients and taking ownership of their ongoing accounting and taxation requirements

- Acting as a trusted point of contact, developing strong relationships and gaining a detailed understanding of each client's business

- Providing practical tax, accounting and wider business advice

- Preparing and reviewing accounts and tax compliance work

- Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team

- Contributing ideas around processes, service delivery and the continued growth of the practice

- Working closely with senior colleagues and playing an active role in shaping the future direction of the firm

The successful Senior Practice Accountant will:

Be ACA or ACCA qualified, or hold an equivalent professional qualification, with strong experience gained within an accountancy practice environment.

You'll be technically confident, commercially aware and comfortable dealing directly with clients. Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to build lasting professional relationships will all be important.

Just as importantly, you'll be someone who wants to make a contribution beyond their own portfolio and is genuinely interested in building a long-term future within the practice.
