Accounts Senior - Full or Part-time - Burnham-on-Sea - £35,000 - £45,000

Trial Balance are delighted to be working with a forward-thinking accountancy practice in Burnham-on-Sea, looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior to join its growing team. This is a great opportunity for a practice accountant who enjoys a broad mix of accounts and tax work and wants to develop within a modern and progressive environment.

As Accounts Senior, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders

- Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns and associated computations

- Completing and reviewing VAT returns

- Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact for their accounting requirements

- Building strong working relationships with clients and providing practical advice and support

- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team

- Working closely with the Partners and wider team to ensure assignments are completed accurately and efficiently

- Contributing ideas to improve processes and make better use of technology across the practice

The successful Accounts Senior will:

Have solid experience gained within an accountancy practice, with a strong technical grounding across accounts and tax.

ACA or ACCA qualification would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from part-qualified and qualified-by-experience candidates with the right level of experience. You'll be confident dealing directly with clients, well organised and comfortable managing your own workload within a busy practice environment.

An open-minded approach will be important, as will a willingness to embrace new technology and look for more effective ways of working.
