This well-established accountancy practice is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their Devizes office. Key reponsibilities for this Accounts Assistant role will include:

- Preparing accounts, tax returns, payroll and bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of business and personal clients

- Assisting with audit assignments and gaining wider exposure across the practice

- Building your technical knowledge through day-to-day client work

- Supporting colleagues with client queries and general accounting requirements

- Identifying opportunities to support the growth of existing client relationships

- Attending exam preparation courses and completing home study as part of your ongoing professional development

The successful Accounts Assistant will:

Likely be working towards AAT or already hold an AAT qualification, with a genuine interest in developing a long-term career within accountancy practice.

You'll be organised, accurate and keen to learn, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills, attention to detail and a pro-active approach will all be important in this role.
