A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Taunton is looking to recruit a Qualified Accountant to join its experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified practice accountant looking for a fresh challenge, with the chance to broaden their commercial and leadership experience.

This Qualified Accountant role will include:

- Preparing full accounts for sole traders, LLPs and limited companies

- Reviewing accounts and supporting the finalisation of work prepared by junior colleagues

- Preparing corporation tax returns and associated computations

- Calculating personal and business tax liabilities

- Managing client relationships and providing proactive accounting, tax and commercial advice

- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team

- Monitoring client billing and work in progress

- Assisting with ad-hoc assignments including financial projections, investigations and due diligence

- Working closely with senior colleagues on client matters and wider practice development

The successful Qualified Accountant candidate will:

Be ACA or ACCA qualified, with extensive experience gained within an accountancy practice environment.

You'll have a strong technical grounding across accounts and taxation, together with the confidence to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels. Commercial awareness, excellent organisation and a pro-active approach will all be important, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
