Due to continued growth, a respected Swindon-based practice is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join its collaborative and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within an environment that genuinely invests in its people.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional looking to gain exposure to a varied client portfolio whilst continuing to develop their technical and commercial skills.

As an Accounts Assistant, your duties will include:

- Preparing year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients

- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts

- Supporting the completion of personal and business tax returns

- Preparing and submitting VAT and CIS returns

- Working closely with clients to support their accounting and compliance requirements

- Providing guidance and training to clients using cloud-based accounting software

- Supporting colleagues across the wider accounts team and assisting with trainee development

The role would suit someone with:

- AAT Level 4 qualification

- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment

- Good working knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance

- Experience using a range of accounting software packages

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
