Finance Manager - Newquay area - Circa: £25,000
Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively assigned by a truly diverse, multifaceted Cornish OMB. With a multitude of highly successful businesses generating independent income streams, the business is rapidly expanding and this role marks a great opportunity for an experienced individual to shape a highly organised and efficient finance function.
This is an extremely varied position with a great deal of breadth of responsibility. Principally, the Finance Manager will manage the day to day financial controls of the company, but they’ll also take a lead role in business operations to include HR administration, office administration, H&S, logistics and facilities management etc. The role works with multiple business divisions and the streamlining of accounting processes, along with the design & implementation of new practices will form a key element to the success of the post.
Reporting to the Managing Director and supported a developing Accounts Assistant, the key financial responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring efficient processing of accounts payable and receivable
- Multiple bank reconciliations
- Taking accounts to Trial Balance
- Preparation of management accounts
- Statutory accounting to include VAT, corporation tax etc.
- Preparing accounts for Chartered Accountant
- Credit Control
- Assisting with project costings
We’re more focussed on relevant experience than we are qualification status, though AAT would be desirable. Above all, we’re looking for a driven, highly efficient individual who can spin multiple plates, work closely with a motivated senior management team and supervise and develop one colleague.
