Falmouth - Full time - Development-focused role
If you enjoy getting under the skin of how a business really works, understanding costs, analysing performance, supporting operations and helping things run more efficiently, this role will suit you. You’ll join a friendly, collaborative finance team and play a key part in keeping financial information accurate, timely and useful for decision-making.
This is a hands-on operational accounting role with plenty of variety. You’ll work closely with colleagues across production, supply chain and finance, supporting two product ranges and contributing to key reporting cycles.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Supporting monthly reporting cycles including management accounts, variance analysis and forecasting
* Producing and maintaining cost and site analysis
* Completing sales, inventory and backlog reporting
* Assisting with month-end close, journals and balance sheet reconciliations (including stock)
* Helping to meet audit requirements
* Supporting standard costing, BOM/routing reviews and engineering change processes
* Working with and providing oversight to a small perpetual inventory team
* Collaborating with stakeholders across operations, production and finance
* Getting involved in ad-hoc analysis and continuous improvement projects
We’re looking for someone who’s progressing through their accounting career - whether you’re part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA, AAT Level 4, or QBE with strong operational finance experience. What matters most is your ability to work confidently with numbers and data, understand costing, stock and margins, analyse information clearly, and stay organised in a fast-moving environment. You’ll need solid Excel skills, a proactive approach, and the confidence to build relationships across both finance and non-finance teams. Experience in manufacturing or product-based environments is helpful, but not essential if you bring the right mindset and analytical capability.
This role offers genuine development and progression, with exposure to both finance and operations. You’ll join a supportive team who enjoy sharing knowledge, and you’ll be working in a role where your analysis directly influences decisions. It’s a great opportunity to build strong foundations in operational finance and commercial finance while contributing to a business that values collaboration, integrity and continuous improvement.
