I’m currently working with an established and growing business to recruit a Financial Controller for their Cornwall?based site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a forward?thinking organisation offering long?term stability, senior leadership exposure, and the chance to play a key role in business performance and financial control.

This is a broad, hands?on Financial Controller role with full oversight of the finance function, combined with a commercially focused remit to improve efficiency, productivity and financial awareness across the business. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast?paced, guest?focused environment where they can make a visible impact and work closely with a collaborative senior team.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a varied finance function, influence key business decisions, and support the organisation in meeting its profit and performance targets through accurate reporting, strong controls and proactive financial insight.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Preparation of budgets, forecasts and annual business plans

* Production of monthly management accounts and departmental performance reporting

* Development of KPI dashboards and regular performance reviews

* Financial analysis to support pricing, investment and operational decision?making

* Oversight of payroll for c.200 employees, including tronc administration

* Management of statutory compliance including VAT, payroll filings and audit preparation

* Ensuring strong financial controls, process improvement and consistent adherence across the business

* Leading and developing a small finance team and building financial acumen across departments

I am looking for an experienced finance professional with strong reporting, budgeting and forecasting skills, ideally gained within hospitality, leisure or multi?site environments. You may currently be operating as a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or Management Accountant ready to step into a broader leadership role. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA are welcomed, although QBE candidates will also be considered. Strong communication skills, high integrity and a hands?on approach will be essential.
