Company Accounts Manager / Bookkeeper - Ilfracombe - Circa: £25,000

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively reassigned by our longstanding client, a well-established and highly successful building services business serving clients throughout North Devon. Established for almost 8 years, they have an excellent reputation within their specialist field and work closely with private and public sector clients throughout the region. 

They’ve assigned us to assist them with the recruitment of their Company Accounts Manager/Bookkeeper, a pivotal position within the business where the successful candidate will take a lead responsibility for all aspects of the company finances. The role reports directly to the Managing Director (an extremely friendly and cheerful chap!), and will be supported by an experienced management team. The successful candidate will have complete autonomy where department efficiency improvements are concerned so this position represents a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to stamp their mark. 

Key responsibilities to include the compliance of financial controls using Quickbooks Online software, sales & purchase ledger, cash management and reconciliations, payroll administration and the production of management reports for the senior management team. 

What we’re looking for: We’re looking for an experienced company Bookkeeper/Accounts Manager or an ambitious Assistant Accountant looking to take a step up. It is absolutely critical that candidates have previous experience gained within the construction sector and understand project retentions and the CIS scheme. Either AAT qualified or QBE, our client is more focussed on team fit and personal attributes that qualification. This is a fast-paced business with a particularly friendly management team which would be well suited to a likeminded accountant.
