Managament Accountant - Exeter - Temporary 1 to 3 months - £38k-£42k FTE

Management Accountant opportunity offering the chance to join a well established Exeter based organisation on a short term contract during a busy period. This Management Accountant role is available for an immediate start and would suit an experienced finance professional who can quickly integrate into a fast paced finance team.

Trial Balance Consulting are pleased to be recruiting a Temporary Management Accountant for an organisation in Exeter. This Management Accountant position is expected to last between 1 and 3 months and has been created to provide support during a period of absence within the finance team.

This is a hands on Management Accountant role requiring someone comfortable operating across a broad range of management accounting activities while working closely with senior finance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:

- Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting

- Producing detailed variance analysis and commentary

 - Completing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies

- Supporting capital accounting and fixed asset processes

- Assisting with cashflow forecasting and financial planning activities

- Supporting month end close activities and reporting deadlines

- Providing wider finance support during a busy operational period

We are seeking a Management Accountant with previous experience producing management accounts within a busy finance environment. Strong Excel and reconciliation skills will be essential, alongside the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

The successful Management Accountant will be proactive, adaptable, and able to quickly get up to speed within an established finance function.

This Management Accountant role will be office based initially, with the potential for limited hybrid working once settled into the position.

This Management Accountant opportunity would also be suitable for candidates currently working as Finance Managers, Assistant Management Accountants, Financial Accountants, Company Accountants, or commercially focused finance professionals with strong management accounting experience.
