Management Accountant – Plymouth - £40k-£45k – Permanent – Full time – Hybrid/ Flexible working

Trial Balance Consulting are pleased to be working with this fantastic organisation to recruit a Management Accountant. This Management Accountant position would suit either an experienced Management Accountant or a commercially minded finance professional looking to step into a broader and more influential Management Accountant role.

Working closely with senior finance leadership and operational budget holders, the Management Accountant will support the delivery of accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple business areas.

This is a varied and commercially focused Management Accountant role within a collaborative and forward-thinking finance team.

Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:

- Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting

- Producing budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis information

- Providing financial insight and support to operational managers and budget holders

- Preparing accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and supporting period end processes

- Assisting with business planning and financial performance analysis

- Supporting audit processes and responding to financial queries

- Contributing to process improvements, systems development, and reporting enhancements

- Supervising and supporting junior finance team members where required

We are seeking a Management Accountant with strong management accounting and financial analysis experience alongside excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

The successful Management Accountant will be confident working with large data sets, producing meaningful financial insight, and supporting non finance stakeholders in a fast paced environment.

AAT Level 4, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or qualified by experience candidates will all be considered.
