Finance Manager – St. Austell – Circa £50k – Hybrid Working – Excellent Benefits – Permanent – Full Time

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to be working with a long-standing client, a highly respected services business with an outstanding reputation for employee retention and professional development. The company is now looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to join their accounting team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role will be based at their HQ in St. Austell, with hybrid working available.

This is a varied and rewarding position, reporting to the Financial Controller and Head of Finance, while managing a small transactional and reporting team. Operating within a group structure with multiple entities and income streams consolidated at group level, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in financial reporting and team leadership.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading the preparation and delivery of group management reports with detailed commentary

  • Supervising and developing a small, ambitious finance team
  • Overseeing accounts payable and authorising supplier payment runs
  • Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and ongoing budget monitoring
  • Producing rolling cash flow forecasts and projections
  • Preparing statutory accounts and financial reports
  • Acting as a key contact for external stakeholders, auditors, and government bodies
  • Deputising for the Head of Finance when required
  • Driving system maintenance, process improvements, and efficiency initiatives

We are seeking a professionally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with proven experience in end-to-end financial management and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have at least 2–3 years’ experience in a financial management role, with a strong understanding of both internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Strong IT literacy and advanced spreadsheet skills
