My client is a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants with a prestigious portfolio of clients operating via multiple offices throughout the Southwest.
Due to continued expansion of their client accounting department, they currently seek to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper for their Swindon office. The core responsibilities of this post will be to take control of the base accounting for smaller clients - predominantly sole traders, partnerships or smaller limited companies. These clients are often too small to warrant an employed bookkeeper though potentially too large or complex to complete their own bookkeeping.
The incumbent will work with a portfolio of clients and complete their sales & purchase ledger, bank reconciliation's, VAT returns and general company bookkeeping. Payroll experience would be desirable but is by no means essential. This role represents and ideal opportunity for a well-rounded Bookkeeper to take on a more varied role working with businesses of varying shapes and sizes.
Candidates must possess prior bookkeeping experience within an Accountancy Practice. My client will happily consider part/fully AAT (or professionally) qualified candidates, or those who operate on a QBE basis.
