Interim Assistant Accountant - Redruth - Circa: £32,000

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively assigned by a leading distribution focussed business based on the outskirts of Redruth (with free on-site parking). The company has experienced a particularly busy year and with financial year end approaching, urgently seeks to recruit an interim Assistant Accountant to work within their small but experienced finance team. The role is offered on either a full or part time basis (minimum 3 days per week), and the contract duration is likely to exceed three months. Due to the nature of this employer’s business structure, the successful candidate will be required to work onsite. 

This contract will encompass a wide range of responsibilities but with a key focus on year-end preparation. Key elements to include: 

- Work closely with Company Accountant to prepare financial statements for year-end

- Production of monthly management accountants

- Compile reports with commentary to senior management team

- Oversee VAT reporting

- Reconciliation of balance sheets

For this role we seek an experienced Assistant Accountant with experience in preparing financial accounts for company year-end as well as a broad range of general accounting responsibilities. The successful candidate may be either part/full professionally qualified/AAT or QBE. Good general IT skills and a solid understanding of MS Excel and office products essential, as will be the ability to work as part of a small, friendly team. It is crucial that applicants are able to commit to the full minimum term of the contract to take the business to year-end in March 2022.
