Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to welcome a new employer to our portfolio and assist them in sourcing a skilled Finance Manager to join the team. This is an interesting services business that has seen turnover triple over the past two years with no adverse effect on trading during the pandemic. The business is well run by a young, energetic team with exciting future projections. 

Not only is this a rewarding business to work for, it’s a highly rewarding opportunity. You’ll be the finance number one and that means you’ll have the autonomy to shape an already well-designed function. It will mean that you’ll take a lead role in the end-to-end accounting controls, as well as management reporting and the more strategic financial decision making. It’s a role that would be equally well suited to an accomplished Assistant Accountant looking for a big step up, as it would an experienced Financial Controller who can add value through improvements (and potentially work on a part time basis). The role can be largely broken down as follows: 

- All aspects of company accounting controls including accounts payable/receivable, P&L, reconciliations, payroll

- Management reporting

- Cash controls

- Statutory accounting including AVT and corporation tax

- Budgeting & reporting

- Systems improvements and streamlining

For this role we’re looking for diligent, enthusiastic and commercially astute individual, ideally AAT or professionally qualified - ACA/ACCA/CIMA. The company predominantly operates online and is focussed on modern technology throughout the business, so a good aptitude for learning bespoke ERPs and strong UK accounting experience essential. The role works within friendly and highly energetic team so this is most certainly a role for a communicative Finance Manager with a problem fixing attitude!
