Assistant / Management Accountant - Truro - £25-28,000

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by a highly successful retail focussed business with multiple streams. They currently seek to a recruit an experienced Assistant / Management Accountant to join their longstanding and very friendly finance team. The role will initially be based remotely but will soon return to the company headquarters in Truro (with parking). The business has enjoyed sustained growth in recent years and this role offers a great opportunity for a motivated candidate to join at a key point of the company’s development. 

The role has a strong focus on the production of management accounts but offers a broad range of accountabilities. Key responsibilities to include: 

- Monthly management accounts for multiple business entities

- Balance sheet reconciliations

- Maintenance of fixed assets

- Bank reconciliations

- Assisting with internal payroll

- Maintenance of accounts payable/receivable and supplier payments

This role works within a dynamic and fast paced finance department which would be well suited to a candidate with strong end-to-end finance experienced and good exposure to management reporting. The successful candidate will likely be AAT qualified or part ACA/CIMA/ACCA, although outstanding candidates that possess the required working experience are also invited to apply. The company has embraced modern technology and a sound understanding of MS Office and cloud-based accounting platforms will be essential.
