Part Time Senior Finance Officer - Penzance/remote - £25-33,000 Pro Rata

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively assigned by a new client; a business services training organisation who seek to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Officer. This is a well-established, fast growing, publicly funded organisation that have enjoyed a sustained increase in clients over recent years, hence the need for this brand-new opportunity. This is a part time role working 22.5 hours per week with a flexible working pattern to suit the successful candidate. The role will initially be remotely based before returning to the organisation’s headquarters in Penzance. 

The position works with a small but highly experienced team and works closely with one other member of the finance team. Key responsibilities to include: 

- Monthly management reporting

- Bank reconciliations

- Administering grant funded schemes

- Monthly P&L reporting

- Accounts payable/receivable management

- Internal payroll

- Year-end procedures and filing

- General bookkeeping and adhoc project accounting

We’re looking for an experienced candidate with suitable knowledge of administering an end-to-end accounting function for a growing business. The successful candidate will ideally hold full AAT but may be part professionally qualified and/or qualified by experience. Previous exposure in payroll administration preferred, though not essential. The organisation is highly technology focussed so strong IT skills essential, especially using MS Office and ideally using cloud-based accounting platforms (Xero exposure perfect!).
