Financial Controller - Indian Queens/remote - Circa: £60,000 

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been assigned once again by a large and highly prominent Cornish employer who now seek to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to join their accounting function in a position of significant seniority. The company offers logistical and commercial services and will be a recognised name in the county, with several business channels providing sizable income streams. The business has enjoyed year-on-year growth and is undergoing significant change; hence this is a newly created position and a great opportunity for an experienced FC. 

Reporting to a Group Finance Director and as part of the senior management team, the successful candidate will take direct lead of a substantial finance department with staff located across multiple business sites. The role contains a breadth of responsibilities including the end-to-end financial control for the parent company and its subsidiary channels, staff supervision, high level management reporting, statutory accounting, project accounting and strategic development. 

Needless to say, it’s a substantial role that will require an experienced set of hands. ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and with experience of operating within a large business are essential requirements, as strong technical, analytical and people management skills. Previous experience gained in services, construction or engineering would be highly desirable. The role works closely with both internal colleagues (across all departments), and a large number of external stakeholders and clients so exceptional communication and commercially orientated skills will be essential in the continued success of the function.
