Interim Charity Accountant - Truro/home based - £: Negotiable Dependent on Experience    

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively assigned by a very well known, highly regarded and extremely friendly arts charity who seek an interim accountant to assist them during a period of change. The assignment will likely be of a duration between 2 and 4 months and could be operated on either a full or part time basis. The role will be home based until restrictions are lifted and will then operate from a central Truro office. All equipment will be provided for the successful candidate to perform the role remotely. 

The charity consists of three brands and benefits from part exemption on VAT transactions so it is crucial that applicants understand charity accounting principles from a VAT, tax and compliance point of view. The organisation has very well set up financial controls using Sage Line 50 and operates on a paperless basis. The successful candidate will take a lead role in ensuring an efficient day-to-day accounting lifecycle to include invoice management, banking, management accounting, tax computations and payroll. The majority of staff are currently furloughed under the JRS scheme so it is essential that the incumbent either has experience in this area or can get to grips with it quickly. Candidates who can commence promptly will benefit from a good handover with the existing post holder.
