Management / Cost Accountant - St. Austell - Circa: £35,000

Trial Balance Consulting have been assigned by a long-term client, a very well established and highly successful civil engineering business based in the St Austell area. The business has enjoyed an exceptionally profitable trading period and is now primed to double its revenue within two years (£40-50M t/o). 

With the recent acquisition of a CFO, an individual well known to us, the finance function has undergone significant development in preparation for continued growth. They now seek to recruit an experienced Management Accountant, ideally with strong costings and variance analysis experience. 

This is a pivotal role within a small but growing finance team where the successful candidate will assume crucial responsibility in a number of areas: 

- Variance analysis on materials, labour and overheads

- Profitability analysis

- Project business case analysis

- Budgeting, forecasting and reporting

In addition, the successful candidate will become a lead team member in the upcoming implementation of an MS Dynamics accounting platform so exceptional IT aptitude required. We’re looking for a candidate with a strong manufacturing/FMCG/Engineering background, either part/fully CIMA/ACCA/ACA or potentially AAT with excellent experience in a similar environment.
