Interim Part Time Payroll Clerk - Plymouth - Circa: £21,000 FTE Pro Rata

Trial Balance Consulting have been reengaged by a past client, a mid-sized employer and a nationally trading specialist services business. They currently seek to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join them on an ongoing temporary basis (with some potential to convert to a permanent contract). The role is offered on a flexible, part time basis with hours and working patterns to suit both sides. 

The role will report into a cheerful and highly experienced Financial Controller and work as part of a small accounting function.  Key responsibilities to include: 

- Administration and processing of monthly national payrolls using Sage Payroll

- Cross examine payroll calculations for the purposes of tax, NI, and statutory payments

- Administer third party payments, RTI submissions and pension reporting

- Year-end payroll processing

- Maintenance of employee records

- Maintain attendance record keeping systems

The person we’re searching for: A candidate possessing at least 12 months of recently gained experience in a payroll administration environment. The role works within a friendly, experienced and fast paced finance function where excellent communication skills will be a prerequisite.
