Company Accountant - Truro outskirts - Full or Part time - £33-38,000

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively assigned by a successful and growing distribution specialist based near Truro.  This client is currently looking for a Company Accountant to lead the financial controls and support the Director.  This is a hands-on role that works as part of a friendly and highly experienced team. The company are very flexible on hours and can consider full or part time. They also don’t mind how you complete your hours, although they must be within the working day.

Key responsibilities to include: 

- VAT preparation and filing

- Statutory reporting and payments

- Sales & purchase ledger

- Bank reconciliations

- Production of monthly management reports

- Cashflow and forecasting

- Payroll and CIS

- Other commercial tasks as required

- Coordinating payment runs

This role is suitable for an experienced candidate with strong understanding of all aspects of commercial accounting as this is a stand alone role. Our client is open minded where formal qualifications are concerned and welcome applicants who are either professionally qualified, or qualified by experience. Strong IT skills, particularly using Quickbooks and MS Excel will be necessary, as is the ability to communicate on management reports to the business owners and Chartered Accountants.
