Part Time Company Bookkeeper - Redruth - £22-26,000 Pro Rata

Trial Balance Consulting have been assigned by a very well established and highly reputable commercial services business that seek to recruit an experienced part time Company Bookkeeper to join their head office team. This is a permanent opportunity operating over approximately 20 hours per week with high levels of flexibility in how (and where), those hours are completed. The company will provide all required equipment for home working if required. 

The role works reports to the Managing Director and works as part of a busy, fast paced and happy team. This is a broad role where the successful candidate will take responsibilities for all aspects of the company’s accounting controls. Responsibilities to include: 

- Accounts payable and receivable 

- Bank reconciliations

- VAT preparation and submissions

- Credit control

- Production of management reports - P&L, balance sheet etc.

- Preparing and conducting supplier payments

- Petty cash management 

We’re principally focus on experience over qualification so QBE and part/fully qualified AAT are welcome to apply. Our client is seeking to recruit a candidate with at-least 2-3 years of experience gained within an SME and a good understanding of full cycle accounting. The business uses a bespoke accounting platform where full training will be offered, but candidates should possess strong IT aptitude and a sound knowledge of MS Office products. As important as strong technical experience, a great culture fit is important in this role and excellent communication skills are a must. The post holder will converse regularly with colleagues, customers and external suppliers so a cheerful disposition will be a must!
