Company Accountant - Bideford - £30-40,000

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively assigned by a fast-growing manufacturing & facilities business who seek to recruit an experienced Company Accountant to lead the financial controls of the parent company and its multiple associated companies. We have been engaged by the company’s firm of Chartered Accountants who will continue to work closely with the business as it rapidly expands. 

This is a hands-on role that works as part of a friendly and highly experienced administration team. The successful candidate will be supported by a team of two that take responsibility for the day-to-day transactional responsibilities including payroll. Key responsibilities to include: 

- A strong focus on producing detailed management accounts

- Day-to-day financial control of nine incorporated businesses (five actively trading), using Sage

- Reconciliation of control accounts

- Variance analysis against KPIs

- Cashflow and forecasting

- Coordinating payment runs

We’re seeking an experienced candidate with strong understanding of all aspects of commercial accounting, ideally gained within a manufacturing, construction or commercial services environment. Candidate's seeking their first move from accountancy practice are also invited to apply. Our client is openminded where formal qualification is concerned and welcomes applicants who are either professionally qualified (CIMA ideal), or qualified by experience. Strong IT skills, particularly using Sage and MS Excel essential, as is the ability to commentate on management reports to the business owners and Chartered Accountants.
