Xero Management Accountant (part time) - Exeter area - £30-32,000 FTE

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been assigned by a specialist business services provider with a very unique career opportunity on offer. Our client is not an accountancy practice but offers bespoke on-site and virtual commercial accounting services to a wide and fast-growing range of OMBs and SMEs across the southwest. Services range from start-to-finish bookkeeping, system implementation and training (Xero), management and statutory accounting, and ad-hoc finance director level support. Most of the work is completed remotely with regular telephone and video-based support, and occasional client visits/off site meetings. 

They’ve tasked us with sourcing an experienced Management Accountant to join their team. This is a remotely based role that works on a permanent, part time basis with a flexible working week of approx. 25-30 hours per week. The role would ideally be based in or around the Exeter area to enable realistic travel times to client sites. All IT equipment will be provided to the successful candidate. 

Working with an existing set of clients, the key focus of the role will be the preparation and review of client management accounts, assisting with VAT submissions, Payroll and pension submissions where required, CT61s & CIS. The business is a certified Xero partner and the role will regularly require the successful candidate to assist in the implementation and set up of Xero as well as training, maintaining and rectifying and difficulties that clients are experiencing. 

We’re looking for an experienced XBE, part professional, or AAT qualified Management Accountant with experience gained in either a practice or commercial setting, ideally within a smaller business. The role will require candidates to have good familiarity with Xero software and be willing to train to become Xero Certified. As the role is predominantly remote, exceptional communication skills will be required - telephone, virtual and face to face.
