Accounts & Payroll Manager - Plymouth - £25-27,000
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively reassigned by our longstanding client, a highly successful privately-owned property services business located in Plymouth. This time, they've tasked us with sourcing an Accounts & Payroll Manager to head up the company’s financial controls. This is a broad and diverse opportunity that works within a busy office alongside a particularly friendly team!
The successful candidate will take a lead role in ensuring that the finance and payroll function operates effectively and efficiently, identifying and rectifying problems, as well as implementing process improvements. Key responsibilities to include:
- Weekly and monthly payroll
- CIS returns and statements (3 companies)
- VAT preparation and filing
- Statutory reporting and payments
- Sales & purchase ledger
- Bank reconciliations
- Production of monthly management reports
- Intercompany accounts
- Overseeing year end procedures and preparation of year end accounts
- Petty cash control
- Other commercial tasks as required
We’re looking for an experienced candidate, either AAT or QBE, with great all-round accounting and payroll experience. The company runs its finances via a Sage based system and experience of the software would be a strong advantage. Excellent organisation skills, the ability to manage one finance assistant and a great sense of humour all essential!
