This is a start-up that has gained serious traction in the market over the past two years and following another significant funding injection, are now ready to embark on large scale expansion. 

Their headcount is growing rapidly and Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively assigned to source an experienced Systems & Management Accountant to join their talented finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller and supervising one member of staff, this is a brand-new pivotal role within the team and the successful candidate will add significant value to the financial controls of the business. 

This is a role of two halves. Initially, you’ll work closely with the FC to select, design and fully implement a new ERP system that will be accessible to all departments within the business. In parallel to this rollout, you’ll be taking a lead role in improving existing procedures, automations and processes to ensure that reporting controls are accessible to PE investors. The second element of the role will see you becoming a super user of the new ERP and the go-to point of contact for department heads and tier one management in the use of the system. You’ll also adopt the position of senior Management Accountant, supporting the production of comprehensive management reports, develop budgets and forecasts, assist in statutory accounting procedures, and act as business partner to the FC and CFO. 

Are you the person that we’re looking for? You’ll be either a professionally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) individual or a QBE that can demonstrate an exceptional career history. You’ll probably possess 10 years of general finance experience with at least 3-5 years of exposure to systems implementation and management reporting. It’s a technical role, but also one that calls for an outgoing, professional and friendly personality. You’ll be working across multiple departments and will become a key contact where the ERP rollout is concerned. Your IT and systems aptitude will include strong experience in manipulation and mapping of data, and you’ll possess brilliant problem-solving skills.
