Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk - Plymouth - £22-25,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively engaged by a long-standing client, a well-established regional retail business with multiple trading sites across the Southwest. They currently seek to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk who will essentially manage the accounts payable function. This is a permanent, site-based opportunity with flexible full-time working hours to suit the successful candidate.
The role works within a friendly and very experienced central accounts team which manages financial transaction for multiple sites. This will be a busy, but well supported role that supervises one part time Purchase Ledger Clerk. Key responsibilities to include:
- Manage one Purchase Ledger Clerk who currently completes the majority of invoicing transactions
- Creating new supplier accounts adhering to payment terms etc.
- Act as first line of support for supplier queries
- Manage supplier payments
- Statement reconciliations
- Matching unbalanced invoices
- Ad-hoc accounting duties
For this role we’re seeking an experienced, organised, and accurate Purchase Ledger clerk with at least 18 months of recently gained experience in a fast-paced function. Previous supervisory experience is not a pre-requisite but a good aptitude for working as part of a team essential. The company uses a bespoke accounting system where full training will be provided, but the successful candidate should possess the ability to learn new platforms quickly. This employer is happy to consider candidates that are either qualified by experience or part/fully AAT qualified (study support potential available to current students).
