The organisation seeks to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to join their team, a role of pivotal responsibility and with primary influence over the accounting function, budgeting, management reporting and statutory compliance. This is broad and varied opportunity that will closely with a large team, including the organisations CEO, senior management team, board of directors, funding stakeholders and a variety of suppliers and partners. The organisation is made up of a passionate, energetic and highly motivated internal team and it is crucial that the successful candidate recognises the value in their services - it won’t be difficult! 

Key responsibilities of the role: 

- Production of management accounts with commentary for board presentation

- Maintaining day-to-day accounting procedures: Accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, supplier payments, journal entries, accruals, VAT returns, credit control etc.

- Monthly payroll 

- Budgeting, financial planning, and cash flow monitoring

- Regular liaison with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders

What we’re looking for: Above all, we seek an experience Finance Manager with solid exposure in managing end-to-end finances for a reasonably sized organisation. Formal qualifications (AAT or part/full CCAB), desirable, but by no means essential. Experience gained in a charity or not-for-profit setting would also be desirable but by no means a pre-requisite, a candidate with strong commercial awareness would be equally well suited. The role will call for strong IT aptitude, particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint, and cloud-based accounting platforms. This is a highly communicative role where the successful candidate will lead, influence, and commentate on all things financial so a great team-working attitude will be essential.
