Their success and continued expansion haven’t come around by coincidence; they’ve got an ultra-talented team behind every department of the business and now they’re hoping to recruit a cost accounting guru. As a relatively complex and high turnover manufacturer, the correct analysis of production costings and the overseeing of special projects are a real priority. 

This role reports to the Finance Director but works very closely with colleagues in the finance team and heads of manufacturing departments. It also works with external customers, suppliers and stakeholders so holds good variety. Tracking and reporting variances, budget setting, cash flow forecasting and occasional cover of a typical Finance Manager’s duties are all key elements to the role too. 

What we’re looking for: An experienced accountant with manufacturing exposure and excellent understanding of production and project costing. You’ll probably be CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified, but we’re not totally rigid on that. In fact, if you’re a skilled accountant currently working in practice and seeking your first industry role, we’re happy to consider that too.  We’re after an individual with advanced Excel skills, good analytical and reporting skills, a great team player, and the ability to lead and influence production teams in cost saving exercises.
