Part Time Accounts Assistant - Truro - £17,500-20,000 FTE
Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively assigned by our longstanding client, a highly successful Cornish services business with an exceptional reputation for high quality service and passion. They currently seek to recruit a permanent Accounts Assistant to work 16-25 hours per week. This employer is entirely flexible as to when these hours are completed to suit the successful candidate. The company offers free onsite parking at its Truro outskirts headquarters.
The role will report to the Head of Finance and works amongst a medium sized and highly experienced finance team. The core focus of the role will be to ensure that the company’s purchase ledger system operates efficiently, though the role will also feature several other accounting responsibilities as follows:
- Purchase ledger - coding and distributing invoices, entering payments, preparing supplier payment runs etc.
- Collate petty cash information and reconcile month end balances
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Entering credit card transactions
- Monthly creditors review
- Assist with year-end audits
We’re seeking an experienced candidate with strong accounts payable exposure, ideally using Sage based systems. The role would be well suited to a part or fully AAT qualified individual although applicant’s that can demonstrate suitable career experience will also be welcome to apply. The business has a busy, friendly, and fast paced function where great interpersonal skills and accurate use of the company’s IT systems will be essential criteria.
